Cocktail Server-rendezvous

Job Summary: The Cocktail Server is responsible for providing fast, friendly and courteous service to every customer while taking and serving beverage orders in the casino.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintains upbeat and positive attitude.
Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and professionally responds according to regulations and TIPS training.
Greets, welcomes and invites our guests back.
Works with Micros and processes all reports as necessary.
Uses knowledge to up sell at all times.
Has a thorough knowledge of the casino food and beverage selections.
Anticipates the guests needs and accommodates them to the best of their ability.
Assists management by informing them of any guest complaints.
Takes guest's order and writes down for accuracy.
Works in an assigned area, such as the lounge, gaming floor and pleasantly takes beverage orders from the casino guests.
Consistently cleans all trash and unwanted debris from assigned stations.
Presents the beverage order to the bartender in an efficient and courteous manner.
May take orders and serve light meals and hors d'oeuvres.
Completes any set-up, closing or side work duties assigned.
Requests identification from guests when legal age is in question.
Keeps bar and service areas stocked and maintained including coffee and soda stations.
Attends all meetings/ and or training sessions as required.
Maintains a neat, clean, organized, safe and comfortable work environment for Team Members and guests.
Maintains professional grooming and appearance according to the established Grooming and Appearance policy.
Performs all other duties as assigned within the scope of work.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be able to write legibly and be able to understand and speak English. Must be 18 years of age or older. Long periods of standing and walking required. Significant lifting up to thirty-five (35) pounds, along with bending, reaching, stooping, pushing and pulling. May encounter wet slippery floors. Moderate use of hands, wrists, and fingers as associated with carrying trays, computer and cash register usage. You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position. Exposure to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Must be flexible with shifts and days off. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Must be able to meet Odawa Casino Resort Internal training requirements. Must be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission.
A Team Member who resigns with proper notice may apply for rehire after 6 months from the effective date of their termination.
A Team Member who has their employment terminated by any gaming facility or who resigns without proper notice may be eligible for rehire subject to the following schedule:
1st occurrence must wait one year from the effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
2nd occurrence must wait three years from the most recent effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
Any occurrence beyond the 2nd must wait five years from the most recent effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
Please note that occurrences do not reset regardless of length of time between them.
A Team Member whose employment is terminated as a result of not being able to return to work upon exhaustion of the Fair Employment Leave will be eligible for rehire without a waiting period once they have been released back to work by a qualified physician.
A Seasonal Team Member whose employment is terminated will be eligible for rehire without a waiting period if they successfully complete their most recent seasonal employment.
Must not be currently on a Security Ban from Odawa Casino during the time of application.
To apply for any Dual Rate positions the applicant must be currently employed and in good standing with OCR.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
