Revenue Audit Clerk

Job Summary: Performs a variety of technical work under the general supervision of the Revenue Audit Manager. Conduct the daily audit of all revenue centers to assist the Revenue Audit Manager in the reconciliation, organization, and recapitulation of revenue obtained from casino operations. Provides support to department and casino management through the auditing functions for Odawa Casino Resort.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists in providing accounting and General Manager with daily net win and reconciliation data, sufficient to post transactions to the general ledger.
Reviews and reconciles on a daily basis the Cage paperwork.
Performs daily audit of table games and slots.
Examines sales tapes, balance sheets, transfers and expense support to determine daily sales transactions.
Verifies transactions for revenue centers, count teams, Cage/Vault and other required areas, including coupon/complimentary usage.
Corrects errors and lists discrepancies for adjustments. Makes report of discrepancy to appropriate personnel or manager.
Conducts random and pre-established testing of transactions, scale accuracies and slot machine recordings.
Assists with address inquiries directed to or from management, outside auditors, gaming commissioners, etc. when assigned by revenue audit management.
Maintains accurate and complete filing system.
Adheres to all appropriate Tribal, federal, state and local laws and Tribal Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) regulations, as applicable.
Adheres to all Revenue Audit policy and procedures and Title 31 policies and regulations.
Attends department meetings and training sessions as directed.
Performs all other job duties as assigned within the scope of work.

Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must possess a financial background that includes records management and accounting. Must be at least 18 years old. Must have good organization and communication skills, both written and verbal. Light typing and 10-key skill experience. Working knowledge of PC operation with excellent computer skills pertaining to word processing, spreadsheet and database management, as well as the ability to quickly learn and utilize specialized software packages. Demonstrated ability to apply analytical reviews and ability to interpret significant financial data relationships. Knowledge and ability to interpret and evaluate internal controls. You may be required to pass a skills assessment test to determine if you meet the minimum qualifications of the position. Must be capable of effective work while being exposed to loud and continual noise levels and a smoke filled environment. Requires some use of hands, wrists and fingers associated with computer use and the lifting of a maximum of 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to meet Odawa Casino Resort internal training and education requirements and be able to obtain a gaming license in accordance to the regulations established by the LTBB Gaming Regulatory Commission. Must maintain confidentiality at all times.
A Team Member who resigns with proper notice may apply for rehire after 6 months from the effective date of their termination.
A Team Member who has their employment terminated by any gaming facility or who resigns without proper notice may be eligible for rehire subject to the following schedule:
1st occurrence must wait one year from the effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
2nd occurrence must wait three years from the most recent effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
Any occurrence beyond the 2nd must wait five years from the most recent effective date of termination or resignation without proper notice
Please note that occurrences do not reset regardless of length of time between them.
A Team Member whose employment is terminated as a result of not being able to return to work upon exhaustion of the Fair Employment Leave will be eligible for rehire without a waiting period once they have been released back to work by a qualified physician.
A Seasonal Team Member whose employment is terminated will be eligible for rehire without a waiting period if they successfully complete their most recent seasonal employment.
Must not be currently on a Security Ban from Odawa Casino during the time of application.
To apply for any Dual Rate positions the applicant must be currently employed and in good standing with OCR.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
