Job Details:
Works under the leadership of the Imaging Services Manager to provide services to a variety of internal and external customers. The film librarian is responsible for the upkeep of the Radiology medical record which includes the following work processes: reception of customers, preparation and maintenance of film file folders, library file maintenance, film loan management, preparation of films for interpretation and application of hospital information systems functions. Assists in the security of medical record information, release of information, and must maintain a high level of confidentiality. The film librarian utilizes many computerized resources and responds to a high volume of telephone calls as they perform their clerical duties.
This position is per diem, occasional hours and vacation coverage.
Education:High School Diploma/GED
Experience:Computer proficiency, Filing proficiencyEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
